AMY THE MOTHER, DAUGHTER AND JUDGE

Amy Gray (Brenneman), a young New York attorney who, after separating from her husband, returns with her young daughter to her childhood home in Hartford, Connecticut where she becomes a family court judge. In addition to her experiences as a judge, the stories further revolve around Amy’s mother, a caseworker for the Department of Children and Families, with whom she lives. Interestingly, the show is based on the actual life of Amy Brenneman’s real-life mother.
